The adventure begins...

So, here’s how it all started… A group of friends that had been doing life together for a long time felt called to start a church family. The only problem was, it was August 2020 and COVID was in full swing. At a time when churches had shut their doors and gone totally virtual, we decided to gather in local parks to worship, pray, and share the word. Some days were chilly, some days were too sunny, and there were always too many ants at that one park in Port Orchard. There was life in our gathering and new people joined. As a church family we are on a mission to share the love of Jesus with the world around us in every way possible. We believe that it is God's purpose to equip and empower every believer for effective Kingdom ministry both within the church body and into their respective spheres of influence. We believe our adventure has just begun. Come be a part of the fun!

meet the van duyns

Cedric was born in Durban, South Africa and received Jesus as Lord at age 12. After receiving a powerful infilling of the Holy Spirit he devoted his teenage years to sharing Jesus with anyone who would listen. During this time his sense of calling to occupational ministry became clear. After completing Bible College, Cedric progressed through various expressions of leadership and ministry in a large church which had a vision to raise and release leaders to the nations of the world.

Angie was raised in Los Angeles, California and fell in love with Jesus at a very early age. She traveled to South Africa during college in pursuit of graduate school but instead found and married Cedric. Angie has been a worship leader for 18 years and enjoys mentoring aspiring worship leaders. She has spent the majority of her career as a director of communication at local churches but now works at Lighthouse Christian School.

The Van Duyns have been pastoring in the Northwest region since 2004. They enjoy great relationships with local pastors and their worldwide network of ministry friends who like to visit Gig Harbor during the summer;)

what we believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the baptism, infilling and empowering of the Holy Spirit for every believer which is evidenced through supernatural boldness and spiritual gifts.

We believe that the ministry Jesus started during His incarnation is continued today through the church, by the supernatural empowering of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
