Anthem Church is a non-denominational church family which prioritizes worship, the presence of God, the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit and teaching the Word. We believe in authentic Kingdom relationships based on unconditional love which create a sense of family, and include doing life together as we seek to grow into the fullness of His awesome plans for us, individually and together. As a church family we are on a mission to share the love of Jesus with the world around us in every way possible.
Cedric was born in Durban, South Africa and received Jesus as Lord at age 12. After receiving a powerful infilling of the Holy Spirit he devoted his teenage years to sharing Jesus with anyone who would listen. During this time his sense of calling to occupational ministry became clear. After completing Bible College, Cedric progressed through various expressions of leadership and ministry in a large church which had a vision to raise and release leaders to the nations of the world.
Angie was raised in Los Angeles, California and received Jesus at a very early age. She wanted to make sure that her name was written in the Lamb's Book of Life which miraculously happened to be in the possession of her Sunday School teacher at that time. From these early years Angie cherished a dream of serving God in a missionary capacity in South Africa and beyond.
We won't bore you with the the details of our inter-continental romance, the supernatural provision of God for our wedding in Los Angeles, our first year of married life in South Africa, our relocation to the Seattle area in 2004 or how God broke through barrenness to provide us with 3 healthy boys... we will leave those stories for another time.
Let's just say that serving the King and the Kingdom is a great adventure. The best is yet to come!
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the baptism, infilling and empowering of the Holy Spirit for every believer which is evidenced through supernatural boldness and spiritual gifts.
We believe that the ministry Jesus started during His incarnation is continued today through the church, by the supernatural empowering of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
